Q How do I get to camp and where is it?
A It is the responsibility of campers to make their own travel
arrangements to the Departure Bay ferry terminal in Nanaimo or to Comox
coming to Nanaimo from Vancouver should take the ferry from Horseshoe Bay and be at
Nanaimo by 12 noon on the Monday that camp starts. This would mean taking a ferry from
Vancouver at around 10 am. Check the BC ferry website at www.bcferries.com/schedules
The camp bus will be waiting for you at the foot passenger exit in Nanaimo.
The camp takes place at the Tribune Bay Outdoor Education Centre on Hornby island.
Travellers arriving by air should plan to arrive in Comox around 12 noon if possible and we will
make arrangements for travel from there to the Hornby Island Ferry. Air fares will be
reimbursed for the cheapest available return flight at the time of travel. If you wish to combine
your trip with other flights these will not be reimbursed.
Campers coming from other parts of Vancouver Island can discuss individual options with the
Program Coordinator once their registration has been submitted.

A This Suggested Clothing List (click for the link) is a list of recommended articles. We prefer
that you not bring expensive electronic items as we cannot be responsible for their loss.

carry your own bags and they are clearly marked with your name.
